Assessment
Product Description: I had the
fortunate opportunity to use and inspect TJ HUNTER, a portable
urine collection device from the R&R
Hunting Supply group. TJ HUNTER is a deep green bag which comes
in a tightly
folded package about the size of an adult’s palm.
The outer
wrapping is a thick membrane plastic material that appears to be “high
grade”. Upon unraveling the bag, which can be performed
with minimal effort, the hunter is left with a collection device
slightly
larger than a normal sandwich bag. The bag has one opening, from
which a second collection bag is housed. At the lip of the
opening is a plastic molded cup that is non-gender specific.
Inside
the
bag is a white paper-cloth containment pouch. It is porous
and has a white granular substance inside. The substance is dry,
the containment pouch and the substance together are both white. Utilization: The
function of TJ HUNTER is to collect urine and to change the urine
to a solid while simultaneously eliminating odor.
Once urine is captured in the bag it is changed to a solid that
will not leak, spill, or escape from the bag.
Several holes were
punched into the “solid” and at no point was there
evidence of any leakage.
The bag holds 900cc of liquid which according
to the normal intake and output of an adult, should easily last
24 hours before being discarded. Review of Product
I found the product to be extremely
functional to hunters and photographers wishing to hunt and observe
big game unnoticed.
Scent
control is a major factor in determining success while afield and
control of human odors, especially urine, has long been a challenge
for hunters and photographers. Many hunters have tried “homemade” containment
devices such as hospital urinals, tubes, drink bottles and even
burying urine to attempt to disguise the odor. This product will
allow hunters and photographers the opportunity to eliminate urine
cleanly and in a non-obtrusive manner. By removing the scent and
the hassle of normal bodily functions, hunters will be able to
devote precious time and energy into hunting game instead of hunting
a place to perform nature’s calling.
Any hunter or outdoors
enthusiast should maintain this urine collection bag as part
of their normal equipment utilized while afield. Recommendation
I highly recommend TJ HUNTER to all hunters and
photographers wishing to enjoy their quarry undetected. This product
should be another resource found in the educated hunter’s
repertoire of hunting equipment.
